David Manjarres began his grappling journey in 2010 under the guidance of Drew Foxworth. Competing in various grappling tournaments where he achieved impressive results, securing 1st and 2nd place finishes in the under 170lbs category.
David has trained Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) under Eduardo de Lima and Matheus Andre, giving him the opportunity to train with accomplished grapplers, UFC fighters, and wrestlers including Josh Rafferty, Stephan Bonnar, Cung Le, Low Ki, and Dave Batista. Additionally, he trained with Royce Gracie Black Belt Billy Dowey at Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy of Raleigh NC.
David was an instructor at Gracie Wesley Chapel for 7 years, where he earned his BJJ Black Belt in 2022 under the tutelage of Wrick Tomas and Eric Callueng.
